Plights and Pleasures of Public Service
On April 16, 2012, former White House Counsel Fred Fielding delivered the Mary and John Carrington Lecture, "Plights and Pleasures of Public Service."
Currently a partner with the Litigation Department of Morgan Lewis in Washington, D.C., Fielding has spent his distinguished legal career in both the public and private sectors.
Before joining the firm, he served as White House Counsel to President George W. Bush from 2007 to 2009. He also served as White House Counsel to President Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1986, and worked in the Nixon White House as Deputy Counsel from 1972 to 1974, and as Associate Counsel from 1970 to 1972.
