B. Teri Burns serves as Director for Legislative Advocacy for School Innovations & Advocacy, coordinating activities at the state capitol on behalf of the California Association for the Gifted (CAG). Most recently, Teri served as Deputy Superintendent for Government Affairs at the California Department of Education, overseeing legislative and budget negotiations regarding education at the state and federal levels.
